Mya is so eager to try new things, and not to mention, she is shockingly patient when it comes to first learning how to do the activities. Her focus amazes me sometimes! Here are a few of the activities we have been working on the past week...
Stringing Cheerios onto spaghetti
Placing lids on a tape line
Pushing popsicle sticks into slots
Other things we played....
Naming vegetables
Chalk drawings
Colouring
Painting with bingo dabbers

Thank you, although I cant really take all the credit. I saw the cheerio thing on someone's blog awhile ago but I can't remember who anymore!
Great stuff! I really need to get some of those bingo/dot markers! I think my daughter would love them! How old is your little one?
Man, you've been busy!!I need to get my lazy butt out and do some of these things with Kaylin. Great ideas : )
Mya is almost 17 months :)
The Cheerios and tape/lids ideas are great (your ideas or not)! I'm totally stealing those! I just made a similar popsicle/slot toy for Tyler too! I still have to find those Bingo Dabbers again! Those veggies are great too. I love how Mya is wearing big necklaces in several of the photos...so cute!
She looks like she is concentrating so closely, such a precious age and stage of development. Love the spaghetti and cheerios activity. Thanks for linking to We Play this week :)
Love the pasta and cereal activity. I tried it with my girls with a little variation and did a blog post on it and linked back to you.Check it out at http://messforless.blogspot.com/2011/08/fruit-loop-towers.htmlI am a new follower. Congrats on the new baby!
Thank you for sharing this. My son had a complicated birth and still has some fine motor struggles so I appreciate finding activities that he will enjoy and not feel so much like work to him.
I especially like the Cheerios one! I found you via Pinterest and I've pinned you again!
